A quiet timer for sitting
This meditation timer stays out of your way. A short settle-in countdown gives you time to get comfortable, a singing-bowl sound marks the start, and a second bowl marks the end. Nothing ticks in between unless you choose interval bells.
How to use it
- Choose a length. If you are new to meditation, start with 5 or 10 minutes.
- Add an interval bell if you want a gentle reminder to check your posture or bring your attention back, for example every 5 minutes.
- Press start, close your eyes and wait for the first bowl.
Choosing a length
Consistency matters more than duration. Ten minutes every day usually does more than an hour once a week. Add five minutes when your current length starts to feel easy.

Questions and answers
Will the timer make noise during my meditation?
Only if you set interval bells. Otherwise there is a bowl at the start and at the end, and nothing in between.
Can I meditate with the screen off?
Most phones pause web audio when the screen locks. Keep the screen on and dim it; the timer keeps the screen awake while it runs.
How long should I meditate?
Start with 5 to 10 minutes a day and build up gradually.
